| Welcome to this page! Calvary Chapel Kamakura is one of the congregations (protestant church) that started from the Calvary Chapel movement in Costa Mesa, California and has branch churches worldwide. Our particular church was started by missionaries from Calvary Fellowship in Seattle, WA. We started the mission in Kamakura, Japan in 1992. We seek to maintain a relaxed, casual atmosphere and worship in a contemporary style. We teach the Bible by going through it systematically, book by book. We believe that this is the best way to help people to grow into healthy, fruitful followers of Jesus. We invite you to come worship with us! Our services are conducted in both Japanese and English. Our desire is that both Japanese and English speakers can worship together and benefit from each other’s culture. We have a children's Sunday school during the service and a nursery for younger kids.
